In a town-celebration of the architectural structure known as the Neoclassical Architecture of Syros, Times Elegant Rooms is housed in a small two-storey building of the late 19th century, a period of transition which marked the entrance of Hermoupolis into the industrial era.
Set snugly in a narrow port side street lined with 19th-century buildings and early 20th-century residences built to facilitate port services, to support the shipyard or to house textile and machinist’s craftsmanship and glass workshops, the property has been through several incarnations until it was abandoned to the forces of decay.
